Tampico Stogies won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over Jefferson Park Penguins at
the ballpark pulling it out in their last at bats, 2 to 1.
 
The deciding run was scored by Tampico in the bottom of the 9th.  After two
were out Reggie Sanders doubled.  Ray Durham came next and he was walked
intentionally.  Gregg Zaun then doubled making Tampico the winners and
sending the 14,288 fans home happy.  Tampico had only 6 hits for the game.
 
Danys Baez(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Todd Wellemeyer(0-1)
was tagged with the loss in relief.  He allowed 1 run and 2 hits in 1 and 2/3
innings.
